Cyberleagues : the federal system
Cyberleagues is an on-line system aimed at gamers, teams and
competition organisers. Cyberleagues is all at once a website,
an on-line software package and a database for electronic
sports. Since 2001, Cyberleagues has overseen 86,700 matches
contested in over 1,434 tournaments, and has ranked over 50,000
players and teams.
Thanks to Cyberleagues, any video games tournament organiser,
whether it is a Lan-party, in a gaming center or on the Internet,
can register the tournament in a calendar that is shared by
the gaming community, manage all of the matches, thanks to
a simple piece of software, and leave a trace of the matches
in the public domain.
Thanks to Cyberleagues, any gamer or team who wants to become
part of the history of electronic sports can have access to
a comprehensive community platform that is based on the model
of a sports federation, have access all the archives of their
performances, can be ranked in the discipline of their choice,
on the basis of their results.

The new Cyberleagues France
In
2005, Cyberleagues is being modified to become even more professional.
The new version will come on stream on 1st December 2004 dedicated
to France. The system, the database and the computer code
have been completely restructured. This new version is the
prototype of all the new up-coming national systems.
- New
public and administrator interface
- New
community functions
- New
ranking and awards system
- New
tournament archiving system
The
ambition that Cyberleagues has set itself, in this new project,
is to create a sustainable framework that is both powerful
and flexible, in which electronic sports can develop, on the
basis of an IT system that meets the expectations and needs
both of gamers and tournament organisers.
